Ness, Risan & Partners is an independent and privately-owned investment firm, offering direct investments and funds within cleantech, listed real estate, and shipping.

The NRP Group, consisting of one investment firm and three AIFMs licensed by the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway, was founded in 2000 by Christian Ness and Ragnvald Risan.

We offer our clients direct investments and fund solutions within cleantech, mutual securities, and shipping. Our clients include family offices, private investors, investment companies, foundations, trusts, and institutional investors.

NRP Investering is our investment vehicle, allowing us to invest in NRP-related projects and funds, in addition to external companies with a clear strategic fit. We invest in companies where we can add value, and scale the business. Our primary focus is to build and grow our asset management practice.

Founded the Company

Ness, Risan & Partners was established by Christian Nessand Ragnvald Risan. Focus on direct investments within shipping and real estate

2001

Aker Eiendomsdrift

Acquired a 50% stake in Aker Eiendomsdrift to expand service offering towards real estate projects

2003

Defining core values

We specified a clear set of values we wanted to work by, and that our customers still recognise and appreciate.

2004

NRP Asset Management

Establishment of NRP Asset Management, offering shipping funds, real estate funds, and bond funds

2005

NRP Securities

Expanded service offering to include corporate finance and brokerage services through NRP Securities

2012

Carnegie

In 2012, we decided to conclude our securities business and sold the company to Carnegie

2015

NRP Procurator

Acquired AS Procuratorand merged the company with NRP Business Management in 2017

2018

NRP Maritime Asset Management

NRP Maritime Asset Management was carved out from NRP Asset Management and established as a separate entity, offering closed-end equity and credit shipping funds

2020

Anaxo Forvaltning

Acquired a 30% stake in Anaxo Forvaltning, a Norwegian asset manager offering a Nordic-focused combination fund comprising stocks, bonds, and direct investments within the real estate sector

NRP Anaxo Management

Establishment of NRP Anaxo Management, offering a real estate fund primarily targeting listed securities in the Nordics

2021

Swiss Life Asset Managers

We agreed to sell the real estate business to Swiss Life Asset Managers excl. NRP Anaxo Management in 2021

NRP Zero

Establishment of NRP Zero, offering a cleantech closed-end venture capital fund with focus on energy transition and resource efficiency

Origo Fonder

NRP acquired a 30% stake in Origo Fonder, a Swedish asset manager focusing on listed small-to-mid cap securities in the Nordics offering a hedge fund and a long-only fund

VIEW Procurator

Sold NRP Procurator to View Ledger, a leading Nordic business management company. NRP became a shareholder in View Group

We have developed a tailormade Investor Portal for our clients

NRP offers a tailormade Investor Portal providing clients and investors with easy access to follow the development of their current portfolio of projects and funds.

Through the Investor Portal, clients can follow the latest valuation of their investments, including historical dividend distributions and related news for each investment within their portfolio. In addition to accessing your personal portfolio, NRP Universe provides investors with the opportunity to view and evaluate all direct investments and funds within the entire NRP portfolio.
