Ness, Risan & Partners and Anaxo Forvaltning are setting up a new fund for investments listed real estate securities. The fund will be managed by Peter Norhammar, a top Swedish fund manager holding extensive experience from the Nordic real estate sector.

Prior to joining NRP Anaxo Management, Norhammar was the responsible manager for Länsförsäkringar Fastighetsfond (2015-2020) and Länsförsäkringar Fastighet Europa (2018-2020). The funds have a combined AUM of SEK 22.4 Bn. In both 2020 and 2019, Länsförsäkringar Fastighetsfond A received the Lipper Fund Award for best performing fund in the Equity Sector Real Estate Europe during the past 5 and 10 years.

Norhammar also holds experience from fund management and equities in Alfred Berg Asset Management and SEB Investment Management. During his employment in Alfred Berg Asset Management he was the Head of Swedish equities and the responsible manager for Länsförsäkringar Fastighetsfond and Alfred Berg Fastighetsfond Norden. While at SEB Investment Management he was the Chief Investment Officer for Swedish equities and managed several funds, including SEB Fastighetsfond. Norhammar holds a Master in Real Estate Economics from KTH Stockholm and is a certified financial analyst (CEFA) from Stockholm School of Economics.

Norhammar will be the responsible manager for NRP Anaxo Nordic m2 from the start in November 2020. The fund mandate is targeting listed Nordic real estate securities. However, the manager will also have the option of investing max. 20% of the AUM in real estate companies domiciled in other European countries. Furthermore, the manager will have the possibility of placing part of the AUM in non-listed real estate companies with firm intentions of going public within 12 months.

The management license is pending approval from the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority.
